Whether you’re a beginner or a total pro at yoga and Pilates exercises, you must have seen various accessories in the market. They all promise to take your workout session to the next level. However, you can’t buy everything. Though most accessories are available in the studio, you can bring your own as well. If you want to do so, we have come up with a list of five things that will make your practices easy and will be a perfect addition to get you started.
#1 Grip Socks
You want to focus on the postures, burn, and perform each exercise correctly, rather than worrying about not slipping or falling. Therefore, our studio encourages its members to wear these socks during the session. Not only for hygienic purposes but also to enable you to perform the exercises correctly. Furthermore, even if you are working on the Reformer Pilates in our Brisbane studio, the silicone grips from head to toe on socks will help to prevent you from slipping.
#2 Magic/ Pilates Ring
This accessory adds resistance to specific body parts to further tone, strengthen, and sculpt them. The ring is made using flexible rubber or metal, with small pads on both sides. One of the main reasons we recommend this in our studio is its low maximum resistance threshold. With that, the chances of injury reduce significantly.
But the question is, do you need it? Well, if you want to see better toning, versatility, and quick results, it will be ideal for you.
#3 Foam Rollers
The foam roller can benefit a lot during Pilates and yoga combined. It offers relevant support and balance to the body for the workout. They are also easy to use and activates your core during the exercises. It doesn’t only help during the studio sessions but can also assist you if you are practicing at home. It is excellent for myofascial release and self-massage.
#4 Yoga and Pilates Mat
The mats are easily accessible in our studio. But you are more than welcome to bring your own if you want for hygienic purposes. It is essential in every session so that the members can perform the practice safely.
It is easy to find a yoga mat from anywhere; however, you have to be careful when choosing a Pilates mat. In comparison to yoga, you will be focusing more on your back and stomach. Therefore, you’ll need a thicker and denser mat.
#5 High-Performance Active wear
Nothing gets us more excited than to wear trendy active wear to the workout sessions. Choose a comfortable attire that won’t make you uncomfortable even when you sweat. Also, it shouldn’t come in your way of performing the exercise. You don’t want your clothes to distract you during the yoga Pilate’s workout constantly.
Are you still confused about which accessories to buy? Contact Rebalance Pilates and Yoga, and we will help you out. You don’t have to feel too tensed, as we mostly have all the necessary accessories available at our studios.
